This challenge awaits you:
Motivated by global requirements and trends in passenger and freight transportation, IAV is developing the mobility concepts of tomorrow. The further development of assistance functions is an important step towards the next level of automated driving. A central building block for this is safe and continuous environment detection based on a wide range of sensors such as lidar, radar or camera. We are looking for motivated and creative minds to support our projects in the development, integration and validation of sensors and sensor recognition functions.
Your Tasks:
- You are responsible for the automated performance analysis of object recognition functions.
- You program and optimize existing tools.
- You implement precise object recognition and benchmark different CNNs.
Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing STEM studies such as computer science, electrical engineering, physics or a comparable course of study
- Good programming skills in Python
Desired Skills:
- Initial knowledge of environmental sensors and object recognition
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Confident handling of complex tasks
- Creativity, initiative and the ability to work in a team
