A leading, global reinsurer with an exceptional reputation are currently searching for a dynamic Valuation Actuary to join their Life and Health team in Munich. **Requirements**:

- Either a fully qualified actuary, or a part-qualified actuary who is actively working towards qualification
- Experience with IFRS 9/17 regulatory frameworks: Solvency II knowledge is beneficial
- Reserving/Reporting background, a Pricing actuary who is eager to move into Reserving will also be considered
- Knowledge of capital and cash-flow modelling tools (AXIS)
- Knowledge of programming such as SQL and Python would be beneficial
- Fluent in English, other language skill are welcome but not required
- An innovative and communicative work approach, with the ability to explain complex results and an enthusiasm to participate in enterprising projects
- Strong business acumen with the ability to liaise with senior financial stakeholders

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare appropriate models, portfolio data, and assumptions as well as set up valuation systems in order to onboard new business
- Develop a thorough market understanding in order to conduct reserve movements and result drivers analysis relevant to IFRS9/17 and Solvency II
- The ability to effectively communicate complex valuation results to senior stakeholders
- Work closely with Pricing teams acting as the go-to Valuation expert for a set group of countries
- Utilise capital modelling tools to create dependable business projections and forecast results
- Provide model refinements and assumption reviews during implementation and documentation
