Senior Data Architect

A proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise IT data & analytics projects in a technical and customer-facing role.
- Current implementation and architecture experience in data lake, analytics, data migration, machine learning and integration scenarios; this will likely include technologies such as Amazon Elastic Compute (EC2), Amazon Data Pipeline, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), Apache Hadoop/Spark, Amazon Redshift, and/or data migration services with demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Customer facing skills to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding best practices, trade-offs, project management, and risk mitigation with demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
- Technical acumen and the ability to understand the customer landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of AWS platform to exceed business requirements.
- Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as Agile methodologies and DevOps.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed and business travel resumes

At Professional Services, we’re hiring data & analytics consultants to collaborate with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our consultants will develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on customer solutions such as data platforms, data lakes, IoT, Machine Learning, batch/real-time data processing, and Date/Business intelligence. This role will focus on helping our customers to build their foundation towards data-driven enterprise.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertise - Collaborate with field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services around data & analytics.
- Solutions - In partnership with the ProServe leadership and account teams, formulate and execute strategies to accelerate customer outcomes with data & analytics solutions in conjunction with Professional Services engagements working backwards from customer needs.
- Delivery - Lead architectural discussions and design workshops with customers, and understand customer’s business and technical requirements deeply to create world-class data and analytics solutions built on AWS while ensuring such solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud and drive business outcomes.
- Innovate - Engage with the customer’s business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment.
- Relationship - Building long-term trusted client relationships with both management and technical staff enabling mutual long-term success.
- Partnering - Support AWS teams to develop strategic cloud enablement plans, liaise with AWS partners to craft data & analytics solutions that exceed expected customer business outcomes.

Position can be based in one of the metropolitan areas across Germany.
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Hands on experience leading large-scale global data & analytics projects as technical leader.
- Demonstrated manufacturing industry (or analogous industry) experience in the fields of database, data warehousing and/or data sciences.
- Pre-sales experience, working with customers and stakeholders and driving outcomes with demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
