Food Service Worker

Position contingent upon award
- Position requires basic ability to converse in English.
- Set up food service, kitchen and other food service areas, also supports in preparing areas for daily operations;
- Set up equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and, according with specific area needs, also attending to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies, this includes replenishing foods, condiments, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
- Assist in the preparation of hot and cold meat and vegetable dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, simple bakery items, and/or other similar food items. This includes operating cooking or bakery equipment as instructed under supervision.
- Check food condition and temperatures, detects and disposes of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
- Convey food and supplies from the main kitchen, bakery, and/or salad preparation area to the serving site.
- Serve food items in accordance with specific instructions
- Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment
- Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Perform cashiering duties, as required.
- Provide guidance and training to other staff members performing related work
- One(1) or more years of experience in related field required.
