**What you'll do**

During the (master) thesis, the applicant (f/m/d) will do research on the requirements for sustainability reporting in general, but also check what customers typically publish in their sustainability reports for the market and stakeholders.
The thesis should evaluate the capabilities offered by the SAP Product Sustainability Control Tower (SCT) in the context of common standards and customers’ needs. SAP technologies such as SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT), SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI), SAP Data Services or SAP Data Intelligence might come into use in order to achieve this.
The outcome of the thesis should provide an abstract on how the SAP standard can be leveraged in order to build and automate reporting that provides actionable insights. The purpose is to allow performance management across social, environmental and financial indicators on a concrete showcase implemented based on SCT. The thesis should also highlight how requirements that are not supported by standard content can be realized within the generic framework based on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and the products SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

**What you bring**
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable course of study
- Computer skills: fundamental programming skills in one of the common languages (Java, Python, ABAP...), basic overview of SAP software e.g., SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud would be welcomed
- Interest in the topic Sustainability, Data management and Analytics
- Language skills: German and English
- Soft skills: team player, communicative, self-reliant and results-driven

Some experience with the topic sustainability reporting in practical or theoretical manner would be an additional asset.

**Meet your team**

SAP Cloud Success Services (CSS) is looking for a thesis student (f/m/d) finishing the current master studies of with a tendency for technical detail on one hand side but also interest in business needs such as setting and steering sustainably targets, within a certain branch or business, monitoring progress and gain actionable insights from dependable sustainability data. Therefore, the applicant should have basic knowledge of database systems and data analysis on one hand side but also some understanding and interest in the topics sustainability. SAP uses a broad pallet of programming languages; it will not be necessary to be an expert in these but at least understand the notions behind them and to be able to adopt them willingly. Since it will be necessary to rely on the knowledge of other departments, building networks and being an outgoing person should be a strong suit, in order to acquire the necessary details.#Thesis #Germany #Deutschland #Student
