(Senior) Computational Chemist

As a Computational Chemist, it is your responsibility to understand the customers’ needs from a scientific point of view and map it with our service portfolio.
Tasks
- Together with your colleagues from sales and product development, you will accompany our customers from the definition of their requirements, throughout the project phase up to the closing.
- You are the central point of contact for our customers when it comes to their scientific questions.
- You understand the needs and challenges of our customers as well as the possibilities behind computational sciences methods
- Because you understand both sides, customers, and scientific simulations, you act as a bridge builder to ensure that our computational scientists develop what the customer really needs.
**Requirements**:
- You hold a master's degree and/or a PhD in chemistry, physics, or related scientific fields with a strong background in computational modeling.
- You are experienced in molecular dynamics simulations (e.g., via force fields and/or ab-initio) for the investigation of a diverse set of chemical and physical systems (e.g., biological systems, solids, surfaces, and/or polymers)
- Knowledge in material sciences and quantum chemistry is a plus
- You are strong in communication both in person as well as on the phone or digitally.
- You enjoy working in a team and are a fun person to work with.

About us
Chemical simulations - this might sound abstract and academic buts it’s much closer to everyday life than you think. Whether it's a smartphone, toothpaste, or the oil on a bicycle chain: all these products contain an incredible amount of chemical know-how. And in all these cases, the development process started in a lab at some point.
During hundreds of development cycles, researchers have worked their way toward the optimal properties of a material or a chemical agent. Until the ideal conductivity of a semiconductor is achieved, or the desired viscosity of a cosmetic product is given. This takes a lot of time and, of course, a lot of money.
We have the opinion that this can be done more easily nowadays The Quantistry Lab - our cloud-based simulation platform - replaces countless development cycles in the lab.
