Custodial Worker

**Duties**:

- Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment.
- Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment.
- Empties trash. Makes beds and changes line. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belts.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
Prior work experience that provided the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade, to keep the assigned work area neat and clean. Must possess good customer service skills in order to interact with people.
- Preferred is responsible work experience in the hospitality industry that demonstrated the ability to perform the duties as stated above with mínimal supervision.
