We are looking for Staff Data Scientists (all genders) to join the Ad Tech data science team in our mission to deliver consistently amazing experiences.

You will be a thought leader, driving innovation by designing and deploying our models to the forefront of technology to solve complex problems, delivering revenue for Delivery Hero at the frontline of our growth & profitability journey.

At Delivery Hero, AdTech introduces people to new food they love and enables our partners to meet their future customers at the perfect moment. We have developed a range of products to offer advertising solutions for restaurants helping them to increase their visibility and reach, improve their order conversion, and eventually drive more sales by covering the entire marketing funnel. Operating across over 50 countries around the clock, our Ad Tech connects the ideal advertiser with the ideal customer millions of times every day. In 2024/25, Ad Tech is a fundamental area for us on our path to profitability and is predicted to generate more than 1 billion euros in revenue for Delivery Hero; our data science team is at the heart of this growth, powering personalisation, relevance, and recommendation.

The Ad Tech data science team operates within the wider Vendor Data tribe whose mission is to drive innovation, insight-driven decision making and to solve business problems through a culture of excellence and openness. The tribe comprises teams of skilled analysts, engineers, and scientists working together to deliver data solutions covering a host of business opportunities across all of Delivery Hero’s 70+ markets.

**Your mission**:
- Analyse large-scale datasets to understand and identify opportunities deploying sophisticated statistical techniques to improve ad relevance, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.
- Lead research initiatives to explore emerging trends and technologies in AdTech and machine learning, contributing to the advancement of Delivery Hero's advertising products and algorithms. Remain at the forefront of industry and research developments incorporating new methodologies and best practices into our data science workflows and models.

**Your heroic skills**:

- You are an industry-leading talent at modelling business problems using machine learning techniques covering feature engineering, model selection and design as well as evaluation and optimisation to deliver enormous value to the business.
- You raise the performance of other team members through effective and mature mentorship and constructive collaboration to benefit others from your deep understanding and experience of data science.
- You have extensive expertise in building and training complex neural network models with strong knowledge of the Python data toolkit centering around deep learning i.e. Keras and ideally Tensorflow and TFX
- Through the seamless use of SQL queries you are able to explore our data universe and gather data to support your analysis and the development of machine learning solutions.
- You write clean, production-level code and are able to effectively set up your environment to minimise testing loops influencing the entire team to work more efficiently and reliably.
- You are familiar with deploying and developing complex neural networks to serve live traffic and experience collaborating with ML engineers in cloud systems, ideally GCP.
- You love to learn, are a critical thinker and creative problem solver who strives for excellence.
- You are a team player who loves to collaborate and work with stakeholders from a variety of teams in a diverse environment.

**Nice to have**:

- Implementing neural networks to specifically solve Ad Tech challenges would be highly desirable.
