Associate Design Director UX

We are seeking an experienced and technically talented digital and visual designer who wants to help us push the future of digital interfaces and lead our design teams While automotive experience is not required, you should be someone who knows and understands the deeper trends within the automotive, mobility, and product design sectors.

Along with your design skills, we’re excited to see you bring together 3D/Motion, UX, UI and branding concepts to help us deliver holistic design solutions for our clients. You should be a strong leader able to motivate and mentor those within your team. It is your goal to create a learning environment and an open team spirit that supports exchange and collective effort. Strong leadership skills combined with a good understanding of team dynamics and structuring are required.

What will you do?
- Create outstanding user experiences, visual interfaces, strategies, and automotive UI/UX concepts
- Assure project success by structuring, mentoring, and leading design teams
- Harmonize UI, UX, motion, product, and branding concepts within internal teams
- Team mentor who strengthens innovative thinking and quality awareness in equal measure.
- Develop and build a strong relationship with our clients as partner and consultant by delivering projects that exceed the clients expectations
- Continuous improvement of quality and efficiency on project, client and department level to achieve operational excellence
- Synchronize, align with and support other icon incar entities/divisions and icon group

Who are you?
- At least 10 years of experience in UI, UX, and visual design
- An understanding of the automotive and mobility industry
- Business level English is required, good German is also preferred
- Proven success managing design teams and multiple projects at once
- Experience with the latest design and collaboration tools and methodologies
- Comfortable and convincing with consulting, speaking, and presenting to clients
