Sales & Business Development Specialist (M/F/d)
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive Sales & Business Development Specialist (M/F/d) to join our team working with large Aviation companies. In this role, you will develop client relationship by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and contributing to long-term strategic growth. This position reports directly to the Head of Line of Business, based at our headquarters in Berlin, Germany.
You will work closely to align strategy and priorities, ensuring seamless communication, and execute of account objectives effectively. Beyond business development responsibilities, you will take a hands-on role in technical sales—including preparing and delivering product demonstrations to showcase how our solutions can solve client challenges. This unique combination of relationship management, technical expertise, and proactive sales initiative makes this role both dynamic and rewarding.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Business Development and Opportunity Identification**: Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the broader aviation market to drive growth and expansion.
**Pipeline Development**: Establish and maintain a robust sales pipeline and capture plan by qualifying leads and developing tailored proposals.
**Technical Sales**: Develop in-depth knowledge of our software products and how they address specific client challenges. Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
**Collaborative Selling**: Partner with the internal technical teams to ensure our solutions fully align with client requirements, goals and industry best practices.
**Client Advocacy**: Gather and relay client feedback to internal stakeholders, contributing to product enhancements and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
**Industry Engagement**: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen brand presence and market positioning.
**Relationship Building & Influence**: Leverage strong networking and communication skills to build trust and establish credibility as a trusted partner within the client’s ecosystem.
**Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights**: Continuously monitor aviation industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to provide informed recommendations and contribute to strategic decision making.
Required Qualifications
3-5 years in sales, business development, or account management. Experience in selling complex software solutions is a plus.
Previous experience in the aviation industry or with aerospace clients is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, aviation, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills to foster trust and collaboration.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage diverse audiences.
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proactive self-starter with a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
Highly adaptable, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
