Senior Data Science Assistant (f/m/d)

Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

- Support the Data Science team by understanding and analyzing data science needs of different science departments, in particular the Target RNA group
- Combine various data sources to help optimize RNA target enablement using data science
- Contribute to the development/internalization of new data science techniques and algorithms

Your ideal qualifications:

- Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics or related field
- Strong programming skills in programming or scripting languages (ideally Python, R)
- Background in machine learning and/or statistical modelling techniques
- Familiarity with some of the packages that support bioinformatics, chemo-informatics, data science and/or machine learning activities
- Basic database knowledge
- Experience in ETL
- Basic knowledge about biochemistry of DNA/RNA
- Familiarity with transcriptomics and proteomics would be an advantage
- Excellent team spirit and capability of working with a wide degree of autonomy and independence
- Independent and well organized working style
