Product Designer

comstruct, the platform transforming materials procurement for construction companies, is driving the shift to digital and automated processes. We're looking for exceptional talent to help us empower the industry with smarter, more efficient solutions.

We are looking for a talented and driven full-time **Product Designer** to join our Product team. In this role you will drive the foundation of design at comstruct, owning both the user experience and the visual language of our product from the ground up. You'll shape how customers interact with our product, challenge the status quo, and lay the groundwork for scalable design processes—all while having a tangible impact on the digitization of one of the world’s largest industries.

As a hybrid company, we value in-person collaboration and expect employees to work from our Munich office 3 days a week.

**What you will be building**
- Plan and conduct user interviews, surveys, and UX research to deeply understand user needs—often directly on construction sites
- Create user-centered designs and prototypes for new features, ensuring they are functional, scalable, and delightful.Identify design flaws in the current product and propose smart, creative solutions to enhance usability and engagement
- Build the first internal design component library to ensure consistency and efficiency across all products
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align your work with our strategic goals—and help drive go-to-market success
- Initiate and build our first internal Design System.

**What you need to succeed**
- 4-7 years of experience in UX or Product Design roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments
- Ability to build from scratch—you thrive in an environment where processes and systems are still being defined
- Experience conducting user research and transforming insights into actionable design improvements
- Experience working in or building products for legacy industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with complex platforms, multi-sided marketplaces, or products with intricate architecture is beneficial
- Customer-centric mindset—you're not afraid to get on-site and understand users first-hand.
- Strong critical thinking, curiosity, and a drive to constantly improve
- German and English fluency (written and spoken) is a must.

Nice to have:

- Helped scale a product team from 1 to 10 (or even 50)
- Brand Design experience
- Prior experience building a Design System from scratch
- Exposure to AI-focused product development or a deep curiosity for how AI can improve user experience
- Experience in tech legacy industries or B2B marketplaces.
