**Intro**

BCG X in partnership with one of Germany’s largest service providers launched a digital platform that makes it easier for customers to find and book pest control services when they need it most. Working with high-quality, qualified pest control businesses across Germany and having a laser-focus on the customer’s experience, this venture has already achieved its first milestones, giving customers the peace of mind, they are dealing with qualified service providers and receiving fair, transparent pricing at speed.

This venture takes advantage of a large market opportunity, with fragmented value chains and competitors, while simultaneously benefiting from a proven business model, with significant support from the Corporate Partner. We are now actively growing the founding team and are on a lookout for a **Product Designer** to help us translate customer needs into a beautiful and easy to navigate product.

**What you will do**:

- Design, implement and maintain the visual imagery of the platform, ensuring it matches the company branding guidelines.
- Gather market insights and work within a cross functional team to deliver an excellent user experience.
- Help shape future product enhancements, new features and prepare designs to scale, improve and iterate on existing features
- Collaborate with the marketing team to help create wireframes, storyboards, user and process flows as well as sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Establish design guidelines, standards and best practices. Review library docs for design quality, consistency, and usefulness.

**What we are looking for**:

- 3 to 4 years of product design experience with a focus on web products.
- Fluency with your design toolkit, including Figma and CMS (Webflow, Wordpress or another equivalent is an advantage).
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative design processes (personas, scenarios, wireframing, and high fidelity visuals). Knowledge of pros and cons of different research methods.
- Good understanding of design and software development dependencies; experience working in cross-functional tech teams. Basic coding skills are a plus.
- Experience of working in a startup environment, with an ability to work independently and strong sense of ownership over your tasks.
- Experience in building and maintaining a high traffic marketplace website is an advantage.
- **Native-level German and English speaking proficiency is required.**
