(Senior) Product Owner

**Your mission**:
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner (PO) for our growing set of tools for Trustworthy AI. You will be part of the Team on Trustworthy AI, which follows the mission to enable Trustworthy AI at scale by operationalizing the upcoming AI Regulation (focussing on the EU AI Act). The team belongs to the broader area of MLOperations where it works alongside colleagues on the ML processes, engineering and infrastructure, but also with other teams of appliedAI.

Your main responsibility will be to drive the development of tools for Trustworthy AI for operationalizing and automating compliance with the upcoming EU AI Act and related standards.

Your key activities will include:

- Taking on ownership to drive SW-products for Trustworthy AI through the entire lifecycle, from cradle to grave
- Assume the role of the PO for our growing portfolio of compliance tools using Agile methodology
- Investigate the challenges and pain points of our partners with the AI Act and propose tools and features with compelling value propositions
- Engage cross-functionally with customers, end-users, development partners, and other stakeholders, to ensure a user-centric approach towards developing products
- Collaborate with our legal experts to translate regulatory requirements from the AI Act into SW requirements for development teams
- Define and monitor for the goals on budget, timeline and quality of Tools for Trustworthy AI, including reporting and status updates to Management

**Your profile**:

- You are an experienced product manager or product owner with a Learner's mindset
- ~ 2-3+ years of proven product management experience building/scaling products in an agile, high-growth environment in the software space. Prior experience encompasses roles such as Product Manager, Product Owner or Software Developer, in the B2B or B2C product development.
- Your interdisciplinary profile covers the customer and business perspective, as well as the technical software development needed to bring products to market
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Interest (and ideally first touchpoints) with AI Regulation, e.g. the EU AI Act

Advantageous to have:

- A solid understanding on AI and Machine Learning and its integration into products
- Knowledge in software development, specially in Python for the backend and React/Nextjs/Typescript for the frontend as well as with cloud infrastructure, IaC, Terraform, Git and CI/CD.
- conversational German language skills
