**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles (oil changes, greasing, and inspection of hoses, belts, fluids, and wiring).
- Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors (disassembling and overhauling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and other assemblies).
- Replaces worn or broken parts, aligns wheels, adjusts brakes, tightens bearings, tunes engines, and performs minor body work.
- Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment; ensuring that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
- Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
- Four (4) years of qualified experience (industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance) and a BA/BS Degree. _6 years' experience accepted in lieu of a required BA/BS._
- Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
- Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
- Experience in simultaneous maintenance, modification and repair projects on a variety of maintenance actions, tasks or repairs.
- Must hold a current and active passport, ensuring a minimum of one year of validity from start date and the ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- High School Diploma or GED, and must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
- Experience on HMMWV, FMTV, HEMTT, PLS, Trailers, and Power Generation Equipment.

**Clearance Requirements**:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
