Working Student/ Internship: Industry 4.0 Material Flow Simulation

**Shape the future**: You assist in the design, development and testing of material flow simulation models for automation in industrial environments. This includes creating digital representations of production facilities, modeling material handling systems, and simulating the flow of goods and resources.
- **Take responsibility**:You will use simulation results to analyze and optimize material flow processes, identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency and reduce costs. You will work with data analysis tools and techniques to interpret simulation results and make actionable recommendations.
- **Reliable work**:You contribute to the integration of simulation models with automation systems, such as conveyor belts, robots, and Overhead Hoist Transport systems to create holistic and efficient material handling solutions
- **Stakeholder management**:You work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, logistics specialists, and industry partners to ensure that simulation models and optimization strategies meet project requirements and industry standards

**Your Profile**
- **Study field**: You are currently studying Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Logistics or similar
- **Way of working**: You have a strong ability to analyze complex systems, identify important problems and develop creative solutions
- **Personality**:You have excellent teamwork and communication skills and can work efficiently in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
- **Skills**: You are proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C++, Java) and have already gained experience with simulation software or platforms such as FlexSim and are ideally familiar with data analysis tools and machine learning concepts
- **Language skills**: You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus
- CV in English
- Certificate of enrollment at university
- Latest grades transcript (not older than 6 months)
- High school report

Important information:

- **Working part-time**: The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
**Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome**: You must be enrolled, and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
- **You should live close to the site**: It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
