The Tesla Financial Services (FS) Team offers financial products to lease Tesla vehicles. By doing so, we support our sales organization and help boost the Tesla customer experience. The Financial Services Intern will support the Tesla Financial Services compliance & Anti
- Money Laundering (AML) function by performing analyses which are critical to the company’s success. In addition to supporting the development of both qualitative and quantitative methods and procedures, the intern will help maintain regular and ad-hoc compliance reports to the management board and liaise with relevant internal and external parties (such as IT and Operations). The intern will also play an important role in ensuring the company’s regulatory compliance, with a primary focus on the German & UK entities.

**What You'll Do**
- Support of customer due diligence process & KYC processes, conduction of anti-money-laundering (AML) checks (transaction monitoring, transparency register etc)
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential compliance risks by supporting compliance risk assessment activities.
- Help with continuous development of the Tesla Financial Services Compliance & AML organization - support with automation of Compliance & AML tools, assessment and analysis of IT-related challenges and quality assurance.
- Write and update documentation for newly developed compliance IT solutions and their background data infrastructure.
- Assist in reviewing and monitoring the company’s adherence to internal policies and procedures and updating the policies annually or on an ad hoc basis.
- Help maintain and organize compliance records, ensuring proper documentation and audit trails for customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, compliance reviews etc.
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements within the financial services in DE / UK - stay up to date on relevant regulations and laws that the team needs to implement. Assist the team in researching new regulatory requirements and their impact on business operations.
- Support the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance activities, issues, and status updates.
- Participate in internal and external audits or compliance reviews by gathering documentation and responding to comments and assisting with walk through.
- Help develop and monitor compliance training materials to ensure employees are aware of and follow compliance policies.
- Provide support to the compliance team on various ad hoc projects, such as testing new tools or processes or assisting with process improvements.
- Performance of risk analyses and internal controls in accordance with the legal requirements
- Active support with management reporting based on an independent data analysis

**What You'll Bring**
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a financial-services-related field such as Business Administration, Economics, International Finance or Financial Law
- Proficiency in MS Office products (SQL is a plus)
- Analytical mindset, with experience in data processing or (financial) reporting
- Pro-active mindset with a willingness to learn
- C1 level in English (both written and spoken); Basic German is a plus but not required
