Service Line Controller and Business Partner Land

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AT A GLANCE

Fugro Germany is looking for a Service Line Controller and Business Partner Land (M/F/d) based in Berlin, with the condition to travel sometimes. Remote working partly possible.

The person is reporting to the Regional Business Line Controller. The Controller will support the Regional Business Line Controller to ensure a strong internal financial control environment, providing business support for the Service Lines and liaising with the Shared Service Centre, as well as with the Local, Regional and Group teams in the Netherlands.

WHAT YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IN YOUR JOB- Provides financial guidance to the business, mainly for the Service Lines in the Land Division- Does the project Controlling for the Service Lines in cooperation with the Regional Project Controller in the Netherlands- Supports planning, reporting, closing (according to IFRS) and controlling (prepares the budget and the rolling forecasts) in cooperation with the Regional Business Line Controller and prepares the monthly reporting- Establishes relationships and forums with the business, the project controllers, and the finance team to efficiently coordinate and manage the end-to-end finance activities.- Ensures that appropriate accounting policies and financial controls are in place for the projects, by driving and initiating process improvements and the proper documentation thereof- Shapes the finance controlling activities with the necessary end-to-end knowledge within the organization and ensures that new ways of working get embedded

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING- Master’s degree in finance and accounting, or equivalent- 5-8 years relevant working experience, experience in project controlling is an advantage- Brings experience from an international company- Hands-on-mentality- Basic accounting skills and good working-knowledge of IFRS- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Navision or other ERP systems is an advantage- Strong in Excel and MS Office- Analytical skills and affinity for financial topics and project risks- Proactive, accurate, and well-developed communication skills- Strong communication skills, solution orientation as well as entrepreneurial and holistic thinking- Team player- Excellent command of English and German, both spoken and written
