P&C Underwriting Lead

As P&C Underwriting Lead (f/m/d) at wefox Insurance, you will lead our underwriting strategy in the P&C space (personal lines mainly) to create and manage a portfolio of innovative, customer centric products. Responsible for the line P&L along with our actuaries, you will drive best practices with a focus on efficiency and scalability.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be one of the primary drivers of the development of personal lines products that are aligned with target market, value-added strategy, and create a competitive advantage to drive growth in the P&C Division
- Create a circuit of operational policies, procedures and set the underwriting guidelines of personal lines products, mainly: motor, home, private liability, pet, device and bike.
- Contribute to the elaboration of policy wordings and technical definitions complying with relevant laws and regulations.
- Work closely with our actuaries to improve underwriting techniques, and design tools and methodologies for profitable risk selection and pricing which meet financial targets, and help minimize the Loss Ratio.
- Participate in resolution of complex claims and build relationships with distribution partners while negotiating underwriting decisions.
- Monitor developments in the industry, keeping a particular eye on innovation as well as shifts in the market and customer behaviour.

**About you**:

- 6+ years of experience in personal lines underwriting
- Multi-line experience is a must
- In-depth knowledge of P&C products and pricing
- Excellent leadership skills of products, programs, projects and teams
- Pragmatism and consequent target focus, paired with flexibility and engagement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge
- Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus
