**What you will do**
- You develop highly stable signal sources (DDS, PLL, DRO) and create hardware layouts and printed circuit board designs (PCB design).
- Furthermore, you examine and optimize the existing hardware.
- Your area of responsibility includes the setup, programming and operation of measurement stations as well as the characterization and documentation of the developed components.
- You will lead research projects or sub-projects and work closely with other groups and departments at the institute.
- Last but not least, you will be involved in the acquisition of new research projects from government authorities and industrial clients.

**What you bring to the table**
- You have a successfully completed university degree (diploma/ master's degree) in electronics/electrical engineering, microsystems engineering, communications engineering or physics or a comparable qualification.
- In addition, you bring first experience in PCB design or electronics development and high affinity to PCB design.
- You have knowledge of signal integrity and the use of a high-end PCB design tool, preferably Cadence Allegro or Altium Designer.
- Ideally, you have practice in analog and digital circuit design and in using circuit and 3D EM field simulation programs.
- Your ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new problems as well as an independent, structured and systematic way of thinking and working characterize you.
- Business fluent German and English, good teamwork and communication skills as well as enjoyment of experimental work complete your profile.
