**Your task structure**:

- Responsibility for the category Plastic and Rubber (for ALTANA and the global ACTEGA businesses)
- Develop and maintain a cost-reducing and value creation project pipeline to create a positive margin impact for ACTEGA and ALTANA divisions
- Understand and execute business line priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders such as Technology, Business and Operations in ACTEGA and ALTANA
- Create a cross-divisional category strategy with a cross-functional strategy team, including elements of global market intelligence, supplier management, portfolio strategy, cost structure assessment and risk management
- Evaluate and strategically manage suppliers and respective portfolio by executing segmentation analyses based on risk, performance and value
- Drive mutual improvements focused on an effective, cost-minded and supplier-enabled innovation to contribute to the overall ACTEGA and ALTANA sustainability roadmap
- Negotiate global competitive master supply agreements and pricing models to ensure competitive supply supporting business margin targets
- Lead a global virtual team of buyers and cross-functional stakeholders (Global Buyers Council)
- Provide reports with focus on business line impact to create transparency and provide guidance to the business and cross-functions

**Your recipe for success**:

- Professional background in procurement or key account management sales
- Knowledge of procurement saving levers
- Understanding of global markets in the chemical industry
- Strategic thinking including understanding of risk management and being result-driven
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively and to adapt to change
- Analytical skills and very good English skills
- Required share of travel up to 5% nationally and 20% internationally
