Lead Architect

FRYTE is a Munich-based Tech startup, bridging the gap between emerging electric logistics and energy markets. Our SaaS solution empowers dispatchers to plan and optimize charging stops for electric trucks — and supports drivers in real-time to adapt to the realities on the road.
By aligning the needs of fleet operators and energy providers, we reduce charging costs for logistics companies and increase utilization for charge point operators. Our vision is to replace big oil with sustainable transportation. With intelligent software, we bring e-trucks on the road - faster, smarter, and more efficiently.
Tasks
As our Lead Architect, you’ll take technical ownership of our solution and drive architectural decisions from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the founders and mentor a small, growing team of engineers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, loves building from scratch, and wants their work to have tangible real-world impact.
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Designing and scaling our core systems
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product, UI/UX design and operations
- Leading technical direction for Cloud infrastructure
- Defining the CI/CD pipeline and assuring best-practice DevOps mentality
- Establishing a high-quality SW development culture
- Recruiting and mentoring developers

**Requirements**:
Must-Haves
- 7\*\*+ years of professional experience in commercial software development\*\*, preferably in full-stack roles
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.
- Self-motivated and able to navigate a fast-changing startup environment.
- Strong software engineering principles: clean code, modularity, testing, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

- Experience with geospatial data (PostGIS) or optimization problems
- Startup or early-stage product experience
- Strong mentoring or team leadership background

Job Requirements
- Availability: Full-Time
- Valid working permit in Germany
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to regularly work in our office in Munich, Germany.

- Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (planned), AWS, and Openstack
