If the answer is a resounding "yes," we have an extraordinary opportunity for you We are seeking an experienced and hands-on **Head of Accounting** to build and lead our AI first accounting function and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting and compliance. Reporting directly to our CFO, you will be responsible for building scalable processes, managing compliance across jurisdictions, and leading a high-performing accounting team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our growth, enabling operational excellence, and preparing the company for future fundraising and potential exit events. **Your profile**: **Key Responsibilities** - ** Leadership & Team Management** - Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, instilling a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Build scalable processes and systems that can support rapid international growth. - ** Financial Reporting & Controls** - Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under IFRS and German GAAP. - Maintain a robust internal control environment and implement best practices for financial governance. - Oversee preparation of consolidated group financial statements. - ** Compliance & Audit** - Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. - Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across our operating entities. - ** Business Partnering & Strategic Support** - Partner with the CFO and FP&A to provide insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities. - Contribute to strategic projects such as international expansion, M&A, and system implementations. - Support fundraising, due diligence, and board reporting requirements. - ** Systems & Process Improvement** - Drive automation and continuous improvement within the accounting function. - Lead on ERP and accounting system implementation to improve efficiency and data quality. **Requirements**: - Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise. - 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in a scale-up or high-growth tech/SaaS environment. - Proven track record of managing multi-entity, international accounting and consolidation. - Strong knowledge of IFRS, German GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements. - Excellent people manager with the ability to build and scale a high-performing team. - Hands-on and detail-oriented, but also capable of thinking strategically and driving process improvement. - Expertise in SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and subscription business models. - Munich based **Who are we?**: We are a fast-growing AI SaaS scale-up on a mission to re-think traditional ways of working and driving business performance.
