Travel and Visa Coordinator Frankfurt

This position acquires long term visas and all other necessary travel documentation in a timely manner for General Authorities, mission presidents, missionaries, employees, dependents, e tc., who will reside in a country other than that of their own citizenship. The Travel and Fleet Specialist is expected to resolve
a wide variety of Visa documentation problems on a highly responsive and professional basis and interacts frequently with Consuls, the Missionary Department, Missionary Training Centers, area presidencies, area offices, General Authorities, and many Church departments.
- Obtain Visas for missionaries and other Church travelers in the most efficient manner.This includes the develo pment of instruction documents, preparation of forms, reviewing all information to ensure that all documentation is complete and correct before sending to consul for
visa issuance. Negotiate with consul or staff regarding procedures and documentation. Re quest and account for visa related fees worldwide.
- R eviews missionary call list prior to issuance of call to advise missionary department of likely visa concerns.
- Consult with missionaries, General Authorities and other Church travelers to provide specific, individual help as needed to overcome diff icult situations unique to the traveler(s) or their destination. Cross train and respond to questions and situations concerning countries other than one's own specific assignment.
- Prepare itineraries and host consuls/staff/ and their families when visi ting Church offices. Accompanies guests during visits.
- Handle emergencies and/or high profile situations as needed. Perform special projec ts as needed.
- Strong commitment to the mission of T he Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints.(applicant must be a member with a valid Temple recommend)
- Minimum of one year work experience in the Church or a corporation in a VISA coordination position, diplomatic work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to appropriately communicate with s enior level government, diplomatic, business and/or Church leaders (i.e. decision makers).
- P roven ability to resolve issues independently and organize workload efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to establish and preserve effective working relationships w ith individuals of varying cultures and personalities
