Specialist Transportation Sourcing

What will you be doing:

- Manage conducting carrier bids, analyze rates and carrier selections and make decisions on awards while remaining compliant with the overall sourcing strategy.
- Maintaining and developing the supplier base. Finding new suppliers as well as terminating cooperation with existing suppliers.
- Analyze historical data and freight pay data to ascertain changes, anomalies or new opportunities within the network.
- Cooperate with other functions to ensure overall targets are met.
- Compile and interpret carrier performance metrics for meetings with carriers and address and resolve carrier-related issues in cooperation with local freight forwarders in the shipping units.
- Ensure department records are maintained in accordance with established policies, procedures and audit guidelines.
- Support in various Logistics investigations like outsourcing and/or changing of logístical foot print.

What will you need:

- Bachelor or professional degree
- Some years experience in strategic sourcing
- Strong knowledge in logistics and transportation
- Good knowledge in Tender Easy Tool
- Good MS office skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
