Senior Production Material Planner/buyer for Robotics

**About the role**:
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Oversee procurement of robotics-related production materials, including precision-machined parts, motors, controllers, wiring harnesses, sensors, PCBs, and custom assemblies- Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and production planning teams to align material sourcing with new product designs, prototypes, and production scale-up- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers with expertise in robotics and advanced manufacturing components- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while ensuring technical compliance and reliability- Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous improvements in quality, lead time, and innovation- Monitor global supply chain trends (electronics, metals, rare materials) that may impact robotics component availability and proactively mitigate risks- Support prototype and pilot builds by ensuring critical components are available on schedule- Implement inventory and supply strategies- Ensure all purchased materials meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards required for robotics systems- Mentor junior buyers and contribute to procurement strategy development for long-term scalability

**Your Profile**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)- 7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in electronics, mechatronics, robotics, or advanced manufacturing sectors- Strong knowledge of robotics components such as actuators, sensors, electronics, and precision mechanical parts- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and supplier management tools- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier evaluation skills- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to forecast and mitigate supply chain risks- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills- Business-level English and German are mandatory to succeed in this role
