**What part will you play?**
- As Head of Strategic Procurement at Siemens Switchgear factory Frankfurt (SWF) and Deputy Global Purchasing Manager for GIS (gas-insulated switchgear) you are responsible for the allocated purchasing volume, the contribution to earnings from changes in material prices and the cash flow effect due to the improvement in payment terms, including planning and controlling of the corresponding purchasing measures
- You have the overarching responsibility for the implementation of the purchasing strategy and vision with a focus on generating substantial added value through strategic purchasing
- You have the disciplinary management of two team leaders / three purchasing areas (direct / indirect) with currently 10 strategic buyers and 4 factory and masters students as well as technical management of currently 3 procurement engineers
- The analysis of the material to be procured, determination of potential savings and conducting complex / international (framework) contract and price negotiations is one of your tasks
- You ensure close and early cooperation with departments such as technology, logistics, production and quality, among other things in the context of investment and development projects as well as in design-to-cost measures
- You are responsible for national and international market observation, development of alternative procurement sources and development of cross-functional and globally coordinated medium to long-term procurement strategies
- You are responsible for the development of improvement measures coordinated across departments as part of supplier management to ensure an optimal supply chain, including the expansion of procurement concepts and the introduction of further methods and processes
- Finally you implement process improvements and digitization projects

**What you need to make real what matters.**
- The basis of your success is a Master´s degree in the field of business administration, industrial engineering or similar
- You have many years of experience in purchasing series and project-specific components, especially in the field of electronic components for medium voltage.
- Furthermore you have several years of management and leadership experience and strong social and negotiation skills.
- You have very good Project management experience as well as a very good commercial and technical understanding
- You bring in a high level of flexibility, a high level of commitment and the willingness to travel (approx. 20 %)
- Your language skills are business fluent in German and English (due to the supplier structure) and you have ideally gained intercultural experience
