We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP of Engineering to lead engineering strategy & develop our B2B SaaS platform for SEO services. As a senior leader in the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit, the VP of Engineering will be responsible for driving engineering innovation, strategy, and development, as well as managing the engineering team to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for Enterprise customers. Joining our new unit means you will be working with us on the largest Digital Marketing data set available and be part of shaping the Digital Marketing world with new solutions that are transforming how large Enterprise companies will do Digital Marketing. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the B2B SaaS industry who can lead multiple engineering teams, drive results, and stay current on industry trends.

**Tasks in the role**:

- Develop and execute the engineering vision and strategy for our B2B SaaS platform for SEO services, including data platform, communication tools, and data visualization engine.
- Design and lead the four engineering teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for our customers.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in development processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Scale the processes and create clear engineering objectives that are aligned with product vision and business objectives.
- Develop and manage a set of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to assess the health of the platform.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape, continuously exploring new opportunities and features that could enhance our platform.
- Work together as part of the unit's senior management team on business and product-related topics.

**Who we are looking for**:

- 10+ years of experience building software and leading teams of at least 25+ people.
- At least four years in a people management role.
- Strong track record of building and scaling engineering organizations, ideally within a start-up or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices, systems architecture, and cloud technologies (e.g. GCP).
- Proven ability to efficiently manage all aspects of the software development life cycle. A record of successfully managing distributed teams.
- Exceptional project management and organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage a budget and make strategic decisions about resources and investments.

- Experience in leading engineering teams at a SaaS multi-product company is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a start-up environment would be highly advantageous.

The Semrush Enterprise Solutions Unit is building new innovative solutions for large companies to unlock growth by answering recurring, complex, and unknown Digital Marketing-related questions (semi) automatically. This includes the collection, storage, and computation of huge amounts of data to create insights that are otherwise hard or impossible to get. Our solutions will connect data using machine learning to remove dependencies and friction for SEO, product, engineering, and marketing teams. New visually story-telling-like reports will help companies to make better decisions about their Digital Marketing budgets. Joining our new unit means you will be working with us on the largest Digital Marketing data set available and be part of shaping the Digital Marketing world with new solutions that are transforming how large Enterprise companies will do Digital Marketing. The unit includes product management, engineering, data science, product design, customer success, and marketing teams and roles.
