With already more than 70 creative, pragmatic and solution oriented team members, we are now looking for a* Team Lead People & Organization (m/w/d)* to join the team in unu’s headquarter in Berlin. As Team Lead People & Organization, you will move and advance unu's entire people operations, organisational development, culture and parts of administration/ labour law. Furthermore you will lead a team of 2 team members (Office Manager and Hiring Manager) and one external Hiring Manager. We are looking for a sparkling personality who is familiar with the needs of our employees and is an entrepreneur by heart, too. You know how to build up an amazing culture and how to drive KPIs and make the business successful. **Your Responsibilities** - Take care of our day-to-day administrative related matters for our 50+ employees in Germany and the administration of our People Operations Software (Personio) - Manage our monthly payroll as well as all ongoing matters related to compensation and benefits - Build and improve processes for our HR and maintain our tools and systems - Be the point of contact in terms of payroll and other administrative related matters - Help our international team members with their residence and work permits - Create and maintain all internal documentation making it simple, accessible and intuitive to use - Support in the on - and offboardings of team members - Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of training, tools, interventions and continuous improvement to meet changing business needs and priorities - Prepare, review and monitor financial budgets as they relate to personnel across teams and own the People team budget **What you bring** - At least 4-5 years of relevant work experience, can be HR or general business, includes clear leadership roles, and preferable in an innovative, not too straightforward environment. - You understand modern people management and organizational development - you know what is "out there", how to find support, and you have implemented a good chunk yourself. - You do what is best for our team - listening, enabling growth, taking tough decisions. - Managing, consulting and organizing is your second nature - both strategic as well as hands-on - You know methods for people and organizational development as well as (internal) communications strategies best. - You bring fluent German and English skills - as we have an incredible international team Furthermore, you have an understanding of foreign cultures. **Your Perks** - You will get **your own company unu scooter** to unlock Berlin’s potential - furthermore we offer: - A highly diverse and vibrant group of people with a strong cultural bond, flat hierarchy, with space for your own ideas in a dynamic, dedicated and motivating environment - Competitive salary and attractive stock options - A creative workspace in Kreuzberg - Healthy snacks, drinks and meals, e.g. daily lunch vouchers If you are unsure about meeting all our listed requirements, please still get in touch.
