In many areas of the economy weather has a significant impact on the earnings of corporate companies. Especially agricultural business is highly impacted by weather.

The Global Weather & AgRisk team originates and underwrites global index solutions for a broad set of industries out of three teams in Munich, Zurich and Houston. As part of this team AgRisk Partners is developing (parametric) risk transfer solutions for agricultural and weather risks and offers these solutions to corporate clients worldwide. Our client base comprises industrial agribusiness corporates, large farming operations and other corporate players in the food production value chain. For risk transfer, either derivative instruments or insurance solutions are applied.

Within this exciting and challenging environment, which is heavily influenced by innovation and new technologies, you will play a leading role in converting our index-based offerings into specific transactions. With your origination and client management expertise, your creativity and your entrepreneurial spirit, you will help grow of our business.

Your job
- Active originating new clients and implementing our strategy to grow our business with corporate agricultural clients
- Evaluate clients’/brokers’ needs from an agronomic and economic perspective and managing (new) relationships in a client-focused and solution-oriented manner
- Pro-actively developing new business opportunities for corporate clients along the entire agricultural production value chain
- Contribute to the design and structuring of appropriate risk transfer solutions and be responsible for its execution in specific transactions
- Close collaboration with data analytics, structuring
- & pricing team as well as with the weather departments of the group
- Position AgRisk Partners by marketing and communication activities on social media, press articles and representing Munich Re on conferences or working groups as specialist of innovative agricultural risk-transfer solutions
- Work in an interdisciplinary team to develop tailor-made and innovative solutions

**Profile**:

- Degree in agriculture engineering or relevant in-depth experience in the agricultural industry or crop insurance
- Understanding of the economic/commercial relationships of the various stakeholders in the food production value chain
- 1+ years of experience in index-based risk transfer solutions
- Good business development mind-set and willingness to contribute to direct origination and marketing efforts
- Ambitious, self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of client orientation
- Confident appearance, good social and intercultural skills in the interaction with international clients, strong team player
- Fluent business English, ideally a further foreign language
- High willingness to travel
