Permanent / Full-time **Reports to**: Head of Global Payroll **THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented German Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Payroll team at Tier. As a German Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our German employees, adhering to all relevant legal requirements and company policies. Your expertise in German payroll regulations and strong attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our payroll operations. - Manage end-to-end payroll processing for our German employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions. - Process employee data accurately and efficiently, including new hires, terminations, salary changes,and benefits. - Payroll data analysis and submission to the payroll provider. - Maintaining accuracy on all employee data related to payroll. - Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues. - Ensuring high levels of quality by thoroughly reviewing payroll reports in line with our payroll control framework. - Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure payroll accuracy and adherence to internal policies. - Completion of all payroll reporting and tax documentation in accordance with deadlines. - Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters via our ticketing system. - Continuous monitoring and review of all payroll legislation (with assistance from the payroll provider) to ensure all changes are implemented on time and communicated where necessary. - Ensuring all end of year reporting in respect of taxable benefits/expenses are completed on time - Ensuring that developments in payroll related matters are monitored and reacted to. - Work closely with finance teams to ensure accuracy on payroll reconciliations and journals. - Manage and arrange pension contribution payments on time where applicable. - Supporting other team members during absences and annual leave as and when needed. - Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives as required. - Proactively look for areas of improvement and communicate these to the wider team and Head of Global Payroll. **YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS** - At least 3 years of experience in payroll, ideally in a fast-paced organisation. - Fluency in German (written and verbal) is essential. - In-depth knowledge of German payroll legislation, tax regulations, and social security requirements. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. - Experience working with blue collar workers would be highly advantageous. - Ability to absorb changes in regulations and implement them into working practices. - Ability to manage peak work times in payroll processing, meeting all deadlines - Attention to detail in processing payrolls and taking ownership for any errors made, handling these - Excellent communication skills - Fluent in English and German **THIS MAY INSPIRE YOU** - Join us at the forefront of one of the most exciting and rapidly moving industries - We're agile, we're growing and so will you At TIER, there's space for exponential professional development and room to make a huge impact on the business going forward - Being part of the team means you're part of its success.
