Mission Statement of Position:
The Sr. Geophysicist position will be a key member of the German Business Unit responsible for the integration, interpretation and assessment of all subsurface data, in order to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the assets across the German portfolio and mature growth opportunities that will be incorporated in the LRP from an Exploration and Development perspective.

Your Job Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality subsurface geophysical evaluations through subsurface data integration and analysis (including well ties, 2D/ 3D structural interpretation, time to depth conversion, seismic reservoir characterization) in order to generate drilling and other field re-development opportunities
- High grade Vermilion Germany’s opportunity portfolio, with a focus on Exploration, through detailed subsurface analysis and incorporating uncertainties and risk assessments
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of relevant German licenses to identify new opportunities, define asset maturation plans and long range field development plans
- Drive the maturation of drilling proposals, including documentation, monitoring of operations, analysis of results and lookbacks
- Participate in technical assurance reviews and partner meetings
- Manage external projects or consultants as required, including e.g. seismic processing, acquisition
- Support reserves and resources booking process
- Support other Vermilion assets and production teams as required
- Support the Permitting process in Germany
- Participate in business development opportunities as required in Europe

Your Profile
- Geoscience graduate, preferably with a Masters
- High technical proficiency in Geophysics with 10+ years industry experience
- Geological background or sound geological understanding is preferrable
- Strong background in Exploration required and field development projects a plus
- Experience in Quantitative Interpretation & reservoir characterization is a strong benefit
- Exposure to seismic processing and acquisition would be a plus
- Proficiency in both English and German is a requirement
- International experience would be preferred, with experience of German basins a plus
- A strong team player, a good communicator who is self-confident and has the ability to take the initiative and show a creative approach
