Head of Motion Business Area IS Domains
**Your responsibilities**:
- Be the first point of contact for Motion Business Area functions to collect /qualify Motion Business Area function demands.
- Liaise with other IS Core/common teams for Core/common demands, influence prioritization of demands meet Motion Business Area Functions requirements.
- Support Motion functions in large transformation program (HR Transformation Program, Finance Transformation Program) to ensure planned IS architecture will allow to fulfill Motion requirements.
- Keep knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices, bringing learning into ABB. Participation in a broader solution development framework community of practices.
- Ability to validate/evaluate technology solution options and provide direction/ approvals/ inputs to other delivery teams. Lead business requirements discussions for functional solution, providing strong technical understanding and ability to demonstrate how the solution can be designed/implemented to meet business needs.
- Provide leadership to temporary work teams, guide/monitor completion of task, share expert knowledge & advice without carrying line responsibility.
- Ensure that new Global solutions (i.e.: Workday, CFIN) provide the required functionality, meets the expectations of the business and is reliable, maintainable, compliant and auditable. Collaborates with and contribute to project setup and delivery, as well as to service operations optimization.
- Proactively support issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service. Collaborate with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible & most cost efficient IS solutions/services for the business.
- Engage in requirements and Data engineering to ensure proper reusability/leverage of existing solution before building new solutions. Support validation and prioritization of incoming function demands in collaboration with relevant IS Domain Leads and IS Service Managers.
- Collaborate with other IS/ function/ business teams to improve, define, maintain and optimize building common data processes. Ensure adherence to Corporate IS Policies & Procedures, as well as to both internal regulations & external legislation that fall within the area of responsibility of this job.
- Commit and contribute towards result-oriented collaboration with various business IS Data & Analytics Lead architect as well as various enterprise technology IS architecture domains. For assigned tasks, execute all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification. In concert with IS Lead Architects ensure that IS solution/service-related standards are considered accordingly.
**Your background**:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related fields.
- More than 8 years of relevant experience. This should include 5 years of experience in Project Management. Functional process experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate at executive level and link functional requirements with the group’s strategic goals to effectively collaborate across the organization. Proven ability to manage virtual teams.
- Proven track record in business solution architecture within functions. Knowledge of supporting technologies, functional capabilities & industry best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask. Enthusiasm to continuously improve IS experience, making it more enjoyable and productive for consumers. Passion for new IS technologies and digital automation. Understanding of project & product management. Good experience of global project environment.
- Business skills to understand cross business support function needs in general and specific Business Area/Division priorities in particular.
- Ability to help business managers to set and balance priorities by analyzing consequences of choices and creating business cases.
- Process expert know-how & change management skills to implement new processes.
- Deep analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations. Forward looking with a holistic approach.
- Skills to drive standardization of master data and to participate in the overall ABB semantic reconciliation and ongoing data quality efforts.
- Fluent English language skills
