**Job Overview**:
The Head of Marketing for Automotive & Manufacturing Industries (AMI) and Retail & Consumer Goods (RCG) owns the global marketing strategy for both industry practices and drives its implementation. They will work closely with the global and regional practice leaders and their leadership groups in increasing brand awareness, commercial impact, and overall marketing ROI. The Head of Marketing will be a thought leader, challenger, and supporter to the global AMI and RCG partner groups. They will be able to leverage a deep understanding of the business and of professional services’ key marketing levers, aligning the practices’ ambitions with firm, regional, and market strategies and priorities, ensuring integration and collaboration with key Oliver Wyman functions, industries, and capabilities, and being accountable for delivering results defined by key metrics of success. To do so requires leveraging marketing best practices, data, discipline, talent, and culture, and collaborating closely with the global marketing team and other business functions.
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player who is energized to roll up their sleeves and drive the firm’s further growth in the AMI and RCG industry by developing, executing and leading comprehensive campaigns that increase our brand reputation. This role reports into the Head of Marketing, Germany & Austria, with a dotted line to the Global Head of Industries Marketing and collaborating closely with the global marketing team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with practice leadership to set the global practice marketing strategy, aligning it with global and regional firm vision and priorities
- Advise practice leadership on marketing strategy, content agenda, messaging, output formats and channel use, acting as a thought leader and challenger; coach, guide, and assist them in developing their profiles in the marketplace
- Innovate and drive change by providing visibility into firm-wide and/or regional priority campaigns and initiatives and discussing ways for collaboration and intersectionality with other industries, capabilities, and/or platforms
- Develop high impact marketing programs that raise brand awareness and commercial impact
- Own and drive campaign implementation by bringing together and steering fluent global project teams composed of regional marketing colleagues (esp. Europe, Americas, Asia Pacific), functional marketing colleagues (editing, digital/social media, PR, events, operations), designers, and external editors to take campaigns to market across different channels, track success and marketing ROI, communicating campaign objectives, execution plans, milestones, responsibilities, and results
- Update practice leadership on strategy implementation (incl. campaign metrics, marketing ROI) and marketing initiatives and priorities on regional and global leadership team meetings
- Leverage marketing best practices, data, discipline, talent, and culture, and collaborating closely with the global marketing team and other business functions; contribute and/or lead global and regional priority marketing campaigns (e.g. influencer program, lighthouse stories)
- Prepare and lead the delivery of annual marketing plans and budgets using marketing ROI
**Experience Required**:
- Proven marketing expertise - Proven track record in building brand and commercial opportunities through focus and alignment with business priorities
- Strong project management skills to drive campaigns across different regions and leveraging different functions
- Collaborator - Ability to work closely with leadership and integrated functions that affect marketing’s ability to deliver impact
- Strong analytical and planning skills to assess the performance of our marketing and communications efforts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to connect with the colleagues across all levels throughout the organization
- Trustworthiness and empathy - Considered a role model in building trust-based relationships across the firm and having strong EQ
- 6+ years proven track record of planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, delivering the full marketing mix including content creation, communications, events, as well as traditional and digital media channels
