Mondu is a Berlin-based Fintech company in the B2B payments space whose purpose is to simplify the financial lives of SMBs so that they can focus on business. Mondu provides a BNPL solution for B2B, which helps merchants and marketplaces to improve conversion rates and protect themselves against default risk while alleviating the operational burden of collection and dunning. Business buyers benefit from payment flexibility that improves their cash flow and allows them better day-to-day business management.
To-date, Mondu has raised $57 million in financing, with its Series A funding round led by US-based venture capital fund, Valar Ventures. Previous investors Cherry Ventures, FinTech Collective have continued to support Mondu in its Series A.

Strategy (International Expansion) Team members play an integral role in the expansion of one of the most exciting and fastest-growing start-ups of the global FinTech industry.
The team consists of strategic problem-solvers with a strong drive to execute and is driven by the ambition to open up new markets for Mondu at a fast pace in order to empower the widest possible merchant base in Europe and beyond. Thereby, our key aims include scoping new market opportunities, devising go-to-market strategies, and supporting their execution at launch.
**What you'll do**:
Your responsibilities consist of an **exciting mix of strategic problem-solving **on the one hand and hands-on execution on the other:
- Support data-driven strategic analyses of new market opportunities along evaluation criteria
- Gather insights by in-depth research (primary and secondary)
- Help develop our** Go-To-Market strategies** and detailed execution plans
- Support the **preparation of new market launches **following the Go-To-Market strategy alongside country teams
- Support successful project-management across the expansion efforts
**What do you need to succeed in this role?**:
- You are studying towards your Master's or Bachelor's degree - or have recently graduated
- Previous internship experience in strategy consulting, a fast growing start-up, product development, PE/VC or banking is a plus (but not a must)
- You are pragmatic, organised and work with strong attention to detail
- You have very good verbal and written communication skills (English is required)
- You are ambitious, curious and resilient with a can-do attitude, always with a suggestion for a solution (rather than dwelling on a problem)
- You thrive in teams within a fast-paced and dynamic environment (change is the norm, not the exception)
- And - last but not least - you are kind, honest and generally have an open mind
**It would be a plus if you also**:
- Have a keen interest in the tech startup ecosystem, especially fintech.
