WHAT WE OFFER

The legal department is part of the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) functional area, which manages the economic processes of our company.

In your new position, you will be part of a team of experienced in-house lawyers in the central legal department in Leverkusen and at the same time a member of the international data protection community working for the Covestro Group.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will advise Covestro's central functions and business entities as well as the international data privacy community on data privacy-related issues, including IT and/or AI-related projects- You will ensure the implementation and further development of Covestro's global data privacy management. This includes, among other things, the continuous updating and supplementation of data privacy-related risk assessments and processes as well as the training concept- You will review and process any data privacy violations and will also be responsible for communication with supervisory authorities- You will work directly and independently with the responsible areas of the Group and its data privacy community- You will follow new and business-related legal developments at the legislativ

WHAT YOU OFFER- You have a degree in law (1st and 2nd state examination) with above-average results- You have in-depth knowledge in the field of data privacy law- Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in data privacy law through working in the legal department of a company, a law firm, an auditing firm or in an association- You have a high degree of commitment and decisiveness, assertiveness, flexibility and communication skills as well as the ability to take on complex and challenging tasks in interdisciplinary teams and to solve them in a cooperative working style- You have a keen interest in entrepreneurial contexts- You are business fluent in German and English
