You’ll make an impact by

  • Leading and supporting Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) projects within Siemens AG with a focus on Value Management and Value Engineering:
    • You are responsible for leading value optimization projects in CVE (e.g., Value Benchmarking), in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to systematically improve the value of portfolios, systems and products.
    • You act as an expert for value improvement and interdependencies in ecosystems, portfolios and systems, and support our businesses in strategic projects.
    • You contribute your expertise in hardware/software-combined portfolios and systems to maximize business value holistically, considering customer requirements, technical feasibility and economic impacts.
  • Consistent further development of Value Management and Value Engineering methods in Cost and Value Engineering:
    • You continuously further develop methods in Value Management and Value Engineering and ensure their consistent integration with existing CVE methods (e.g., Value Analysis, Requirements Engineering, CVE Benchmarking).
    • You develop Value Management methods to make interdependencies across ecosystems, portfolios, systems and products, as well as their lifecycle business impact, transparent.
    • You develop quantitative value approaches to evaluate and optimize hardware/software-combined portfolios and systems.
    • You further develop and maintain an AI-based Value Management knowledge base for the CVE community.
  • Partner for Portfolio and Product Management and the CVE community:
    • You act as partner for Portfolio and Product Management functions within Siemens AG to identify and initiate CVE projects.
    • You promote value-driven thinking across Cost and Value Engineering and relevant business functions.
    • You are part of the CVE community as expert for Value Management and Value Engineering methods.

Your success is grounded in

  • Education: A university degree with a technical or software-related background, e.g., industrial engineering, engineering, computer science or related fields.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • You have many years of professional experience in portfolio management, product management, value management or in comparable functions such as sales, business development or business-centric system architect.
    • You have a sound understanding of Value Management and/or Value Engineering, such as Value Analysis or similar approaches.
