For permanent employment OHB System AG in Bremen is looking for aAvionics Architect (m/f/d) The avionics architect (m/f/d) steers multiple subsystems in the spacecraft avionics domain, both technically and programmatically. Avionics architects (m/f/d) combine a strong technical background and good analytical skills with foresight to anticipate risks and the ability to lead an inter-disciplinary team. Avionics architects (m/f/d) are highly visible members of the project core team and provide a vital customer interface. Your Tasks Lead the design of the avionics architecture of the spacecraftDefine and develop the Avionics Architecture of the satellite, covering initial sizing, trade-offs, interface budgets and HW performancesManage the avionics subsystems during detailed design and testing phases as design authority. Scope varies per mission and may include data handling, telemetry and telecommand, payload data downlink, laser communications terminal, securityProgrammatic responsibility of the avionics subsystems, direct reporting to satellite project managementInterface management and control on physical level and across the protocol stackIdentification and management of development risks throughout the mission phasesTest planning and supervisionNon-conformance closure Your QualificationsA degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or compatible qualification6 years of professional experience in space- or aircraft avionics domainExperience with hardware projects in phase B/C/D in the field of avionics systems3 years of professional experience leading technical teams of at least 2 domainsProven capability to deliver project results in time and budgetExcellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work independentlyFluency in spoken and written EnglishFluency in German is desired.
