Drone Swarm Test Engineer

Your missionPlan and execute UAV and drone swarm flight tests, including demos abroad (e.g., Ukraine)Lead and coordinate field operations, including pilots, engineers, and support crewsDevelop and maintain all operational documentation (procedures, checklists, risk assessments)Work directly with regulatory bodies (e.g., EASA), handle approvals and integrate compliance feedbackDefine and set up new flight test sites and facilitiesOwn risk management, flight safety, and emergency proceduresAnalyze flight data and support fast iteration of system improvementsEnsure all flight operations are safe, robust, and support rapid learning loopsYour profileDegree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar technical field — but practical field experience weighs more than formal degreesHands-on UAV flight operations experience (manual and autonomous; swarm experience is a plus but not required)Solid experience with ground control systems (e.g., Q Ground Control or similar)Deep understanding of mission planning and CONOPS developmentPractical experience with emergency procedures and incident handlingRegulatory knowledge: EASA SORA and risk assessment processesExperience leading field deployments and working directly with end-users (military or industrial environments preferred)Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and adapt fastProven track record in flight test campaigns, including incidents and learnings ("zero crash" profiles are not relevant)Experience in startup or fast-paced, pragmatic environments preferredStrong technical documentation and communication skills (English required)MetaIntrinsic motivation, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindsetCreative thinker with a structured and systematic approachHumble and collaborative — prioritizes collective success over individual recognitionHigh ethical standards and disciplined work ethicExtra-curricular leadership or achievements are a bonusFluent in EnglishNationality of a NATO member nation or close ally is requiredSuccessful candidates will be required to obtain security clearanceWhy us?Do you feel that you fit the description, but don't think you fulfill all the criteria 100%?
