Responsibilities We are looking for a Work Student Data Engineer to support the design, development, and operation of data pipelines and cloud-based analytics infrastructure at TeamViewer. You will join our Data Engineering team, contributing to modern data workflows, orchestration, and cloud environments used across the company.You will work closely with senior data engineers on real production systems, gaining experience in workflow orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, cloud services, and scalable data transformation frameworks. This position is ideal if you bring strong technical skills in Python and SQL and want hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and platforms. Contribute to the development and maintenance of robust, scalable data pipelinesWork with Apache Airflow to schedule, orchestrate, and monitor workflowsSupport data transformation processes using dbtAssist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using TerraformWork with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (or comparable platforms like AWS/Azure) for data storage, compute, and processingSupport ETL/ELT processes, including data modeling, documentation, and quality checksCollaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand data needs and improve existing systemsExplore and implement new tools, frameworks, and best practices in data engineering Requirements Ongoing university studies in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related fieldAt least two years of study time remaining (Q3 2027)Good SQL skillsSolid Python programming skills, especially for scripting, data processing, and backend tasksFirst hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or another workflow orchestration toolBasic understanding of REST APIs (building, consuming, authentication concepts, error handling)Experience with Git and general software development best practicesFamiliarity with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, etc.)Interest in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and modern data transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt)Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a teamFluency in English; German is a plus What we offer Contract location would be Göppingen, GermanyMake an impact Take on the responsibility and work on your own projects.
