Interim Consultative Nursing Services (Interim CNS) is seeking a Registered Nurses (RN) for Full-Time Opportunity for Consultative Nursing Services. Individuals will be part of a close team of nurses that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Interim supplies its nurses with PPE, comprehensive prevention protocol and close monitoring of COVID-19 developments General Purpose of Consultative Nurse (RN): Consultative Registered Nurse supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who live in the community setting. Responsibilities include health promotion and advocacy, teaching people with IDD and those who support them about health conditions and treatments and overseeing a person’s general health care.Care management of auditing monthly documentation and communicating with team members helps maintain the individual’s health, independence, and inclusion in their community. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements for Consultative Registered Nurse (RN): Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Delaware. License must be active and in good standing Prefer at least 2 years of experience in the IDD field Must have experience with using a laptop/tablet/cell phone, Microsoft Suite (Work, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), self-troubleshooting, document creating, etc. All work will be managed on a Windows 11 OS Essential Functions of Consultative Registered Nurse (RN): Completes initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the client’s needs  Communicates with physician and other staff of changes in the client’s needs Counsels and educates the client, family and staff as needed  Refers to other services and initiates appropriate preventative healthcare needs Performs in-service training and education Uses clinical decision making to effectively manage individual clients Completes other assignments as requested and within the scope of licensure Able to follow HIPAA guidelines to protect personal health information (PHI). Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department Required to attend all team meetings Follows accepted standards of nursing practice Working Conditions & Physical Effort of Consultative Registered Nurse (RN): Able to work independently with remote supervision Able to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the workforce, both clinical and non-clinical Able to perform and prioritize multiple functions or tasks Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to the care of the client Able to visually and aurally observe and assess the client Able to effectively deal with multiple changes based on client needs and scheduling Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens and/or other potentially infectious or hazardous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment Able to constantly stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach freely and assist clients with standing and walking Medium physical activity that may require occasional lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Other Requirements of Consultative Registered Nurse (RN): Available to work full-time, 40 hours/week Able to provide proof of driver’s license, if applicable Able to travel to locations within Delaware Able to constantly travel locally from assignment to assignment CPR certified  Negative TB test result Pass a background check Provide two (2) professional references Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks
