In the Jena Research Center – Automotive Optics Team we are now looking for a:Researcher - Light Emitting Photonics Chip (m/f/d)We are seeking a skilled candidate in researching, designing, and evaluation of Light Emitting Photonics Chip in field of headlight, optical display, and Lidar in vehicle.Your mission Perform research, design, and evaluation work in Light Emitting Photonics Chips; Driving innovation in Photonics for high-performance micro light emitting devices; Implement system-based solutions to address and overcome complex challenges in design and modeling. Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping; Understand the background of business and tracking the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into and explore new technologies and direction; Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives; Your areas of expertise Proven experiences in designing and developing Light Emitting Photonics Chips. Applicants with 5+ years in industry roles are preferred. Strong theoretical knowledge in Photonics, Physics, and applicants with a Ph.D. degree in related fields are preferred. Deep expertise in Nitride LED device physics. Proficiency with optical design and simulation methods: FDTD Methods, FEM Methods, Sequential & Non-Sequential Methods, etc. Programming skills are considered as a plus. Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
