Hauptaufgaben Assigned to the logistics section, the incumbent performs technical duties and staff assistance functions in the administration and management of the established supply program. Administers the centers supply operations. Also acts as GFEBS Initiator and WAWF Acceptor, Warehouse Software Manager, and as alternate tool coordinator and all supply related documentations. Oversees the work of assigned employees in completing supply functions.Incumbent is responsible for property accountability over all Warehouse property, deployable CTA items, and various classes of supply items. Verifies centralized property book files against records maintained by hand-receipt holders, to ensure consistency. Establishes requirements for proper maintenance of hand-receipt files, and delegates to hand-receipt holders the authority to issue property on sub-hand-receipt basis. Establishes procedures for the handling of requisitions and turn-in of supply items. Performs the centers supply operations, i.e. the requisitioning, purchase, receipt, storage, maintenance, issue, turn-in, and documentation of expendable, durable, and non-expendable supplies and equipment of various supply classes, and mission-related items. Identifies supply shortage and receives requests for procurement of supply items and equipment. Identifies requisitioning data, such as stock number, parts number, nomenclature, and item acquisition codes, referring to WEBFLIS, appropriate authorization documents, and other item identification sources. Prepares and processes requisitions, entering appropriate supply action data and item information codes. Submits requisitions to appropriate supply support activity (SSA). Upon receipt of requested items, verifies consistency with requisition and proper condition, initiates issue to the respective hand receipt holders, and obtains acknowledgment of receipt. Ensures proper storage and adequate care and maintenance of organizational supplies and equipment, office supplies and equipment, janitorial and housekeeping supplies, first aid items, organizational tools, sets and outfits, as well as HAZMAT equipment, etc., observing established storage, safety, and security provisions.Conducts assistance visits to the center sections to provide support on logistical matters and ensure adherence to established procedures, regulations, and policies. Reviews supply administration and accounting files, such as document registers, personal clothing file, hand-receipts, inventory record, and the like, and checks organizational basic loads and assigned equipment. Complies, reviews, and analyzes findings, determines deficiencies and problem areas, and directs corrective action. Performs research on problems, which cannot be readily resolved on local level. Prepares survey reports. Determines corrective actions to be taken, and resurveys areas, when necessary. Renders advice and assistance to management officials in all supply related matters to ensure uniform interpretation and application of policies and procedures, and adherence to special program requirements. Reviews equipment portion of authorization documents. Ensures required equipment is on hand and excess material is turned-in or transferred. Assists sections in documenting changed or additional equipment requirements. Receives, compiles, and reviews recurring procurement of equipment. Prepares statistics and reports in all areas of the logistical field. Uses computers and automated devices to prepare and generate receipt and shipment confirmation and denial documents, location maintenance, inventory and location survey reports, etc. for input into the various computer programs. Verifies correctness applying a thorough knowledge of supply regulations to insure the accuracy of data. Responsible for performing other functions, processes and transactions such as inventory control, inquiry input information screens for instructions or explanations, or other interactive screens for data input.Reviews equipment record and demand data to identify property, which has become obsolete or excess. Locates surplus property. Prepares reports and necessary documents for the turn-in of items declared excess, and for transfers of property. Assists in coordinating and directing supply and logistics operations of all sections. Enforces and monitors adherence to established program requirements. Assists in the development and establishment of internal procedures and guidelines. Receives higher level directives and policies, determines applicability to, and impact on current operations, and ensures consistent implementation at subordinate sections level. Monitors proper fund utilization and makes recommendations for adjustments based upon changes in mission or equipment configuration of the center. Receives and processes requests for change of equipment authorizations in Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA). Consults with other intra-organizational staff elements in cases of requests for special equipment of items in excess of allowances authorized by Common Tables of Allowances (CTA), to be able to properly evaluate justifications provided, and determine special equipment characteristics and capabilities. Discusses necessity of changes with higher headquarters, requests equipment surveys, and initiates required documentation. Reviews supply bulletins and equipment catalogs to identify the piece of equipment best suited for the purpose or function to be performed. Ensures all authorized equipment is on hand or on order to provide for effective accomplishment of assigned missions. Coordinates equipment utilization among attached organizations. Acts as primary point of contact in matters concerning reports of survey; verifies completeness of required paperwork and supporting documentation, and ensures expeditious handling. Receives and verifies a variety of operation reports relating to overall equipment and supply status. Analyzes data input, determines and investigates discrepancies or factors not meeting established goals, and initiates required corrective actions.Incumbent oversees the work of 2-3 subordinate employees engaged in supply clerical work. Plans work to be accomplished by assigned employees, sets and adjusts short- term priorities and prepares schedule for completion of work.
