As a Software Architect you develop state-of-the-art software for challenging high-tech products and machines. In this role, you support our customers with high-quality, user-friendly, and cost-efficient software solutions in the semiconductor, analytical, medical equipment industry within the “Medical Valley” and beyond. Your software expertise plays a vital role in bringing high-tech solutions to life, like operating equipment, image and data analysis, process management and providing insight into large data sets. From our office in Erlangen and sometimes at our clients’ premises you like to keep yourself busy with: Preparing offers and feasibility studies for projects in close cooperation with the project manager, the account manager and customer. Collaborating with project managers to define the project organization, estimate project timeliness, identify risks and related mitigation strategies Leading the architectural design and development of software systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality and reliability requirements Developing and supporting the deployment of training programs through individual coaching, training, and supervising colleagues during their assignments Providing technical guidance and leadership to project teams and development processes Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements high-tech systems and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within projects and related teams Sounds good so far? We'd love to tell you more… Your future workplace This is what you bring to the table Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field. You have gained more than 10 years of experience with technical software development in various roles and in various (product) environments and/or projects. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and C# for different operating systems, including state machines and real-time aspects. You have extensive experience with various modern development methods, tools, and technologies (OOAD, Agile, TDD, MDSD, etc.) and use these to set up appropriate development processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex software and process-related issues and implement effective solutions. You are used to working in a dynamic environment with fast-changing priorities, parallel projects, and various stakeholders with probably conflicting interests. Good communication skills, easy to present technical information to technical and non-technical partners.
