About the job: We’re seeking an Unreal Engine Gameplay Programmer to join our team creating immersive virtual reality training solutions. You’ll be responsible for designing and developing gameplay systems, innovative mechanics, and realistic player interactions, to provide high-fidelity VR training simulations that help professionals master complex procedures and scenarios in a safe, controlled environment. Developing and refining core gameplay systems, including weapons, projectiles, physics-based interactions, multiplayer mechanics, and replays. Implementing engaging and intuitive VR interactions, from precise weapon handling to responsive object interactions. Collaborating with 3D artists, animators, and technical artists to bring player characters, environmental elements, and interactive game features to life to facilitate immersive training scenarios. Optimizing gameplay code for VR and multiplayer performance. Implementing learning analytics and performance tracking systems within VR environments. Documenting technical specifications and writing clear, concise and maintainable code that adheres to our coding standards. Mentoring junior programmers, sharing knowledge with the team, and contributing to the team’s continued development. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Unreal Engine and game development technologies. Key Qualifications: 3–5 years of professional experience as a gameplay programmer or comparable position. Proficiency in C++ programming. Experience developing content with Unreal Engine 5 or similar engines. Understanding of Unreal Engine’s gameplay framework. Skilled in working with the Unreal Engine Blueprint system. Strong mathematical aptitude. Knowledge of creating network-based multiplayer games. Familiarity with version control systems such as Perforce or Git. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a profound knowledge of English. A passion for making realistic VR simulations and games.
