Basic Shipbuilding Design Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Shipbuilding Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, planning, and construction of ships and marine vessels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and evolving industry, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art ship designs for various commercial, military, and recreational applications. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop Basic Design of ship and marine vessel layouts, schematics, and technical drawings using AUTOCAD • Collaborate with naval architects, engineers, and other teams to ensure the design meets all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. • Conduct structural, hydrodynamic, and performance analyses to optimize the design of the vessel. • Evaluate and select materials and manufacturing processes suitable for shipbuilding, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability. • Oversee the preparation of technical specifications, production drawings, and documentation for ship construction and maintenance. • Participate in design reviews, cost analysis, and feasibility studies. • Ensure that all designs are in compliance with international maritime regulations and classification society standards. • Provide technical support during the construction, testing, and commissioning phases. • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to translate their requirements into functional and practical design solutions. • Continuously stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes. Required Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience (5+ years) in ship design, shipbuilding, or marine engineering. • Proficiency in CAD software AUTOCAD, Ship Constructor • Strong understanding of HVAC, System Engineering, Outfitting Special Requirements, Electrical Systems. • Knowledge of international shipbuilding standards, classification societies, and regulatory compliance. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. • Strong communication skills in German Language and English Language and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
