Founding Team Member

Your missionYou will be a founding member of the Embodied AI team at Wandelbots. You will lead the technical strategy and execution for exploring and enabling new robotic form factors — humanoids, quadrupeds, drones, mobile platforms and more — on our Wandelbots NOVA platform. Your mission is to kick off building a high-performing, cross-functional team that pushes the boundaries of embodied AI and delivers real, deployable innovation. You'll drive architecture decisions, oversee engineering execution, and work closely with the NOVA Domain focused on industrial robots to add significant value to the Wandelbots NOVA platform. At the same time, you will have the ability to dig into the first customer projects and drive the strategy and execution hands-on.Your profileStrong robotics engineering background, with hands-on experience in building and deploying robotic systemsProven experience as an engineering manager or technical team lead, ideally in a startup, R&D, or cross-functional environmentDeep knowledge of robot control architectures, real-time systems, and motion planningFamiliarity with AI integration in robotics, including perception pipelines and basic ML control loopsSolid understanding of software engineering best practices (architecture, testing, CI/CD, modularity)Demonstrated ability to hire, grow, and mentor a high-caliber teamStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environmentExcellent communication skills — fluent in both technical detail and strategic alignment with stakeholdersYou are awesome if: You’ve worked with humanoids, quadrupeds, drones, or other non-standard form factors in real-world scenariosYou’ve integrated systems using platforms like ROS2, Jetson, or NVIDIA Isaac Sim / OmniverseYou’ve led teams at the intersection of AI and control systems, ideally involving LLMs or VLMs in robotics workflowsYou have experience working on multi-robot orchestration, fleet systems, or edge-to-cloud communicationYou bring systems thinking, are comfortable bridging hardware, software, and ML, and thrive in early-stage explorationsWhy us?Make an impactWork on an innovative, deep tech product that adds value to the robotics world and to society Become a crucial part of something new, big and exciting where you can truly make an impactOur teams inspireCross-functional communication is key.
