For permanent employment OHB System AG in Bremen  is looking for aChief Engineer (m/f/d) Telecom Satellite Programs Your Tasks Lead and organize the technical project team, including system and subsystem engineers from relevant departmentsServe as the primary technical interface to project management and the customerDefine and maintain system requirements and verification strategies in alignment with project goalsReview and challenge ongoing development and technical designs; conduct independent analyses and initiate corrective actions as neededEstablish systems engineering processes to coordinate efforts across Systems Engineering, Engineering, AIT, PA/QA, SCM, and Project ManagementEnsure effective technical communication and collaboration across all project stakeholdersOrganize regular technical reviews; consolidate cost and technical data to define system-level budgetsEnsure timely delivery of all systems engineering deliverablesSupport project management in risk assessment, cost evaluation, and overall planningCollaborate with payload and satellite engineering teams to ensure coherent satellite designContribute to studies and projects in the Telecom Systems businessSupport cost optimization efforts for OHB’s telecom platform products Your QualificationsDegree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical disciplineMinimum 10 years of experience as technical lead in phases C/D/E of space projects, ideally in telecommunication satellitesExtensive expertise in spacecraft and subsystem designStrong background in the conceptual design of large telecom constellationsProven experience across various Systems Engineering domains: Mission & System Analysis, Interface & Requirements Engineering, Verification & Validation, Planning & Scheduling, and Technical CoordinationHighly self-motivated with a strong commitment to project objectivesAble to critically assess technical baselines and drive improvementsExcellent communication skills and a strong team playerFluent in English and German We offer Work Life Balance: Flexible working hours, sabbatical, 30 days vacation & special leave days Mobile Work: Hybrid work & mobile work abroad Structured on-boarding process (incl.
