Huawei's Jena Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research and architectural development of optics-related products. In the Jena Research Center – Automotive Optics Team we are now looking for a:Wave-Optics Researcher - 2-year Fixed-term (m/f/d)We are seeking a skilled candidate in design for Metasurfaces or/and Hologram Generation in field of optical display, picture generation unit, Lidar in vehicle.Your mission Perform research and design work in Metasurfaces or/and Hologram Generation in field of optical display, picture generation unit, Lidar in vehicle; Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping; Understand the background of business and tracking the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into and explore new technologies and direction; Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives; Your areas of expertise Proven experiences in Metasurfaces or/and Hologram Generation for optical beam shaping, polarization conversion, imaging and display. Strong theoretical knowledge in wave optics, and applicants with a Ph.D. degree in related fields are preferred. Proficiency with optical design and simulation methods: FDTD Methods, FEM Methods, Sequential & Non-Sequential Methods, etc. Programming skills are considered as a plus. Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
