Intern (m/f/d), Private Markets Team, Global Investment Strategy Job purpose/role We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Munich-based Private Markets team in Global Investment Strategy. You will work alongside an international group of investment professionals to analyze major trends in private markets, support asset-class assessments, and help shape portfolio strategy across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. This immersive, hands-on role is ideal for students who combine strong analytical skills with genuine interest in investment strategy, especially alternative investments. Key responsibilities Gather and synthesize industry data, evaluate macro and sector trends, and maintain proprietary research databases.Contribute to the development and implementation of Allianz’s global investment strategy in the private markets space.Conduct ad-hoc research on emerging themes (e.g., secondary markets, data centers etc.).Update and improve quantitative/valuation models.Support internal strategy and financial market communications. Key requirements / Skills / Experience Bachelor’s or master’s student in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or a quantitative discipline, with a strong academic record.Previous internship or project work in investment management or related financial sector is a plus.Strong interest in financial markets (esp. private markets) and macroeconomics.Familiarity with portfolio-construction and asset-allocation concepts.Advanced Excel / PowerPoint skills, experience with LSEG Workspace/Datastream, Bloomberg Terminal, Python, EViews is a plus.Excellent written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to turn large data sets into clear insights.High level of professionalism, proactiveness and collaborative spirit.
